The first few actions listed are places where the CODEPINK national staff will be-- and we encourage you to come join us in those places-- but actions are happening nationwide, so check out the list below (organized alphabetically by state)!

Tax Day at Raytheon Missile Systems

  • When: April 15, 6:30-7:30 am
  • Where: Gather at Raytheon's entrance on S. Nogales Highway at Hermans Road, two miles s. of Valencia.
  • Raytheon Missile Systems in Tucson is manufacturing UAVs that can be armed as well as weapons to arm them. We are demonstrating on Tax Day to say "No Taxes for War!"

Vigil at Davis Monthan Air Force Base

  • When: April 30, 7-8 am
  • Where: Golflinks and Craycroft Roads, Tucson, AZ 85706
  • Monthly vigil at Davis Monthan AFB, where the 214th Recon unit of the Air National Guard pilots combat drones. "The 214th has flown more than 3,000 sorties and provided more than 55,000 flying hours of combat mission support in Southwest Asia in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation New Dawn, providing overhead full-motion video to U.S. intelligence agencies and close air support to troops in contact."

While representatives of Democratic imperialism gorge themselves on fancy victuals and indulge in the self-gratification that ownership of spoils of Empire provides, Guantanamo hunger strikers will persist under desperate circumstances to escape illegal and immoral incarceration in america's premiere torture facility, Guantanamo Bay. Anti-Drone Rally for 'Beale 5' Defendants

  • When: April 15, 8:30-11:30 am

  • This is a tax-day rally in support of the Beale 5, part of a group charged with blocking the gates at Beale AFB and now facing a federal trial. A 1/5 size replica Drone will be at the rally. Occupy Beale Air Force Base

  • When: April 29, 3 PM - April 30, 9AM
  • Where: North Beale Rd., Main Gate, Beale AFB, Linda, CA 95901
  • Two day protest and encampment to resist drone warfare and illegal surveillance. Beale AFB is the home of the Global Hawk, a surveillance drone that is complicit in the U.S. targeted assassination program. Optional nonviolent action planned, support people needed. Affinity groups recommended but not necessary.


WEEKLY Rally against Drones and Endless War

  • When: April 10, 4:45-5:45 pm

  • Weekly demonstration aimed at rush-hour traffic with banners and signs, every Wednesday, 4:45 - 5:45 p.m.


No Drones

  • Meet at McCarthy Mall to rally University of Hawai`i students, faculty and staff to say NO to drones and drone research. Just look for the big drone replica!

No Drone Killing and Spying!

No War Drones In Iowa, May Day

  • When: May 1, 11 am

  • May 1st is the date, 11AM is the time, the main gate to the Iowa Air National Guard base at the Des Moines airport is the place. Robert Naiman will be there for certain. Other details, including events before and after May 1st, to be determined. The 132nd Attack Wing will likely operate MQ-9 Reaper aircraft around the globe controlled via satellite links from a headquarters at the Des Moines Air National Guard Base.


Maine Drone Restrictions Legislation

  • Bruce Gagnon, Coordinator of the Global Network Against Weapons and Nuclear Power in Space, is working with the American Civil Liberties Union on legislation that would limit drone surveillance in the state of Maine. Hearings are expected to be held in the first half of April.

Protest Elbit Systems

  • Members of NH Palestinian Network and NH Veterans for Peace are sponsoring a vigil/protest in front of Elbit Systems of Merrimack, NH, on April 5, 2013, from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm. Elbit is an Israeli-owned weapons manufacturer and some of its drones were used to kill and maim hundreds of innocent civilians in Gaza between 2008-09 and in 2012. Our goal is to bring attention to this company which profits off war. Elbit also produces, in Merrimack, the electronic systems used in the Apartheid Walls in Occupied Palestine and also the separation barrier between Mexico and the US.


Dirty Wars: The World Is a Battlefield

  • This is New Jersey Peace Action's 56th Annual Dinner featuring Jeremy Scahill, author of Blackwater and a new book to be released on April 23rd, Dirty Wars: The World Is a Battlefield. Jeremy will be talking about the use of drones in these wars -- and promoting the June release of his movie by the same name. Peace Grannies Anti-Drone protest

  • All New York City peace grandmothers and supporters and other interested parties will meet April 3 from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Grandmothers Against the War vigil site at Rockefeller Center, the west side of 5th Ave. between 49th and 50th Sts. So far, Col. Ann Wright has agreed to speak. We will have drone models, banners and signs and, hopefully, some media. Participants will include the Granny Peace Brigade, Raging Grannies, Grandmothers Against the War, Grey Panthers, and many others.

A March to End War and Violence

Picket Line

  • Join our picket line with signs visible to busy traffic at 10:30 a.m. in front of the Elting Library (Main St. across from Starbucks). Line Up Against Drones

  • When: April 6, 2013, 11-12 pm

  • A peaceful vigil to call for a ban on militarized drones. We will line up on the sidewalk outside the Yadkin Road entrance to Fort Bragg from 11AM- Noon on Saturday, April 6.


No Drones Weekend

  • When: April 5-7

  • Friday, April 5th: A mass demonstration at Congressman Mike Turner's office, a follow up to our demonstration/meeting with his representative in September, 2012, requesting he give his UAV/Drone contributions to the families of innocent victims of drone bombings.

Silent Drone Death Walk & Kite Flying for Peace at University of Pennsylvania

End drone warfare research at UPenn (and neighboring Drexel), which receives millions of dollars in research grants for drone research and technology application. Dress in black.
  • 1 pm: KITE FLYING FOR PEACE (Woodland Walk field, between UPenn and Drexel University, behind corner of 34th & Walnut streets). Kite flying, a widespread form of play throughout Afghanistan and Pakistan, expresses the children's hope for peace and an end to the war and drone strikes. Bring your kite, your children, and umbrella in the event of rain.
