There is a garden in New Orleans…
I went back to check up on our Seeds of Peace Garden in the 9th Ward this past weekend. I was able to spend some fun time with our NOLA-CP coordinator Sarah Rath and our powerhouse with the camera, Kelly Van Pelt. We talked about things CODEPINK NOLA can do to support the local community, like an action against their Gov. Bobby Jindal, who is denying the very much needed unemployment funding.

And once our NOLA CodePINK gets going, we’ll start throwing Codepink “Garden Parties” to keep our gardens fresh and beautiful and talk to student volunteers about Codepink. I’m sure there will be local actions too. We’ll see what the women want to do.
