Global Day Against Military Spending

 CODEPINK's Patricia Foulkrod joined Occupy Los Angeles, Veterans for Peace and other activists for the Global Day Against Military Spending. Over 140 similar actions occurred around the world on the same day.

The group of around 100 activists gathered in El Segundo and marched on Boeing and Raytheon to protest the American tax dollars spent on these corporations, and others, to keep feeding the war machine known as the Military Industrial Complex.

Lots of honks of support were heard from the busy streets and interactions the group marched through.

Patricia gave a short speech to the crowd, and all who attended felt it was a meaningful and successful action.

We must continue raising awareness about the atrocity of war and the corresponding price tag that shortchanges our communities here at home.

"Bring our war dollars home!"
