Coalition May Day March Camp and Rally. Several local Tucson peace and social justice non-profit groups converged on Tuesday, May 1, to march and rally in support of workers' rights, immigrant issues, and diverting war spending to fund life-affirming and dignified jobs here at home. Angels were on hand to shield the peaceful participants from a lone disgruntled local oppositional activist who wanted to disrupt the day. The CODEPINK Peace Ribbon fluttered in the breeze in the background, welcoming the marchers to Armory Park, the original home of the Occupy Tucson movement.
